It's weird he compares this to Batman Forever rather than Rises
Excuse me. What do you think about the series? The Sarah Connor Chronicles?
Every movie beyond part two. Though I have to say there's one movie that I liked storywise, that dienst have any of the regular characters in it. Part 4 I think?
I actually really like the first 3 movies (Second Is The Best Though), & I actually liked Dark Fate, I really hated Salvation & Genisys. Never Saw too much of The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I feel like I am the only one who actually likes Terminator 3 though.
Can you please review die hard 2
I will say I loved the ending to this one. The Top military trying to figure out what is happening while the viewer knows They're listening to literally the entire human race die. For all the cheesiness this movie had the scene was really well done.
Hello nostalgia critic, my name is story maker I'm not making this to suggest you do anything I just wanted to say thank you for making my life better you help me through a lot of abuse your funny and help me see movies in a new manner. thank you and hope to see the next vid!
Hey wait, if by Terminator rules you can't change time, why would the terminators need to go back in time anyway?
T-800 : "Talk To The Hand."
T-800 : "Talk To The Hand."
#OscarForStunts !
This movie may not be the best but it doesn't shit on John Connor like the next three films does
This is where things started going down hill
30:00 that's what she said
You can add a pic of Joe Biden to that list of crappy messiahs
Talk to the hand
Well I give T3 this, it’s the 3rd best Terminator movie... your opinion may vary on how much that is actually saying. For me I’ll go back and watch this one from time to time, but I’ve only seen Salvation, Genisys, and Dark Fate once and have no interest in ever seeing them again.
I literally damn near choked to death, laughing, when I heard "Eddie! We got us a ride! Open the door!" LMFAO!
I think Terminator three should have been a twist where the new terminator was actually sent to integrate humans WITH technology so they can live through a dying earth. The other Terminator stays the same thinking she was just yet another killing machine without much change.
Almost 20 years later, I still love that line, "She's your wife".
I really liked the ending of this movie, pretty awesome and balls deep
There's no need to show guts when you know people are dead. We've seen that a million times.
Loken did well, to me she’s 3rd best cyborg in the franchise. Glau is fourth.
the point of this movie is kind of like planet of the apes paper airplane scene. as long as technology advances it will PROBABLY lead to our doom. you can enjoy the little side benefits during the process but as history teaches the main role of technology is war and eventually the serpent will eat its own tail...
alien franchise and terminator franchise first two great all down hill from there
The joke about Uwe Boll would have been funnier if you pronounced the name proper.
this movie is 100% trash
8:29 - Cool theory. Now if they only had cast Nikki Cox instead of Clair Danes.
The only thing I remembered from this movie was the world being nuked scene, the scene that Warner Brother kept using for it's TV shows over and over again.
The first two "Terminator"s were essentially horror movies. Everything from T3 on was an action movie. That's why they all feel so "off" from that point on. Even T3 which closes with the END OF THE WORLD seems to be missing that sense of impending dread from the first two.
Привет из России! Ты знаешь. Что мы смотрим твои видео ?
This movie might have been better if instead of "Talk to the hand!" the Terminator used the other line: "Patience, Honey!"
Seriously, give an oscar for best stunt double
16:13 when the terminator is sus!😳
I'm not sure Critic got the part that judgement day can't be stopped right. It's not about changing the event, but the tendency. Like, they mean that machine rebellion is the inevitable next step in evolution of the AI, so time travelling can only delay it. If it's not Skynet it'll be Genisys. Actually in mass culture original trilogy of Mass Effect videogames makes a valid attempt to play around with this idea
I'd lay money the whole reason T3 was R-rated is that car seat brutality. Give credit, that death was top-tier horror level. It comes out of left field compared to everything else.
Excellent movie. Love it.
This is the closest will get to a live action Mortal Kombat vs Terminator crossover since the actress who played the T-X was also in Mortal Kombat Conquest
I did like the idea that the Terminator films in a bootstrap-paradox timeline, I hate how it was ruined by Gensys and Dark Fate. For those who don't know, a bootstrap-paradox is certain events that are in an infinite loop of cause-and-effect through means of time travel. For example, in the first Terminator film we found out that John Connor sent Kyle Reese to the past to protect his mother and to become his biological father. John Connor would never had been born if he never sent Reese back into time to protect his mother.
This is the part that it goes to shit
This was the worst movie of the franchise. The cgi of the truck flipping over was so crappy even back then that it turned me off to the movie more than the other crap.
0:44 Oh I see you finally got the wah wah machine fixed after that Superman Top 11 video. Man that was a long time ago.
*T A L K T O D A H A N D*
Jesus christ at 9:09 i laughed so hard i almost pissed myself.
I didn't realize this was a rated R click until you said it. Seriously, I always thought it was PG-13 until just now
I didn't like the Terminator being able to control other machines. Sure, great idea in theory, but to have cars go Maximum Overdrive... cars that have no physical way of steering themselves? Totally took me out of the movie
This is the problem with every time travel story: some events are treated as mutable while others are treated as inevitable and the only pattern is how relevant they are to the plot. In Stein's Gate, sending a short text message to the past has the potential to change a person's gender in the womb, and reversing said change is necessary to preventing a butterfly effect chain reaction that leads to the collapse of free society -- but sending back a person's entire *consciousness* (which necessarily involves completely overwriting the consciousness and memories they already had) only changes the divergence factor of the timeline by 0.0000001% or some similarly negligible fraction.
The way the terminators ragdollize while fighting in the restroom just reminds me of James Rolfe cutting to an empty costume so he can hurl Bugs Bunny around the room.
You know it took me a while to notice this but I'm pretty sure the Terminator had a dick measuring contest with helicopters
So the TX can control machines, how does that translate into control cars and cranes?? Gas pedal, steering wheel nine of that involves a computer at most she's been able to fuck around with someone's radio
And yet this one is still better than Terminator dark fate
Ok that was a beautiful Who Framed Roger Rabbit joke lmao
well i like Surrogates Jonathan Mostow made it
in the T3 game Arnold says "eat me " when blowing her up , its funny awesome
I don’t know why this movie get so much hate, it was a good movie
i was hoping Doug would talk about the extra which explained why the Terminators had an Austrian accent. Best part of the DVD
T-1000: "Are you John Connor?" John: "Yeah. The fuck do you want?" T-1000: *makes a poggers face and shoots John after awkward 3 second pause. Yes still doing this face*
I love this movie.
I wish there was a spin-off show called My Life As A Teenage Terminator.
Hi. I'm commenting from the UK. BBC iPlayer is not free. Legally you must pay £150 per year (about $200) to have access to it.
This movie would be amazing,,,,if it wasn't a terminator movie
A crime against movies you didn't even take a moment to talk about how beautiful the end of the world theme for the nuke scene is.
19:59 Is that a Freud joke?
i've always wondered; was there food at the shelter?
I just realised that Doug's teeth lines up perfectly with the terminators teeth
it had and has the potential to be the best terminator movie the only thing is just some shots need to be replaced from style of t2 and some of the dialogue if james cameron can comeback and do a zack snyder thing but the problem will be the cast ..nevermind
Russia love u critic
no STAMPS!?!?!?!
4:15-4:18 (I like turtles!) 4:44-4:48 (Gozangas!) 9:01-9:17 (😂😂) 10:01-10:05 (Wasn't expecting that! 😂) 14:29-14:38 (High as fuck!) 14:55-15:00 (😂😂😂😂😂) 19:49-19:54 (Dude, get laid) 21:07-21:16 (😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂)
Not as good as T1 or T2 (it's pretty good). It's a hell of a lot better that Salvation and WAY better than Dark Fate.
I love the ending for this movie. The rest is...OK. I would rate it a 7.5 out of 10. The problem is that, because the first two were amazing 10 out of 10, this one seems complete crap but it is definitely a good movie...Just not a great movie.
15:52 Honestly this is what I look most forward to in games, movies and shows. Just seeing out of context scenes or gameplay clips and wondering "How the fuck did they go from that to here?" Just imagine seeing a Sam & Max season 2 or 3 trailer. Dancing with zombies, An army of Sams, Stinky turning into a cake, Sam and others bowing before a statue of Max with Sam carrying Max's brain, Sam angrily assaulting a gorilla without his partner, mole people casting spells, swimming in nothing to a chicken named Mr Featherly, mexican mariachis on an alien spaceship with a time machine and the devil talking to the final main villain of the first season right next to the first villain of the first season. It doesn't make sense and you just wanna know how and why these things happen.
20:39 Whose the guy between Anakin and Bill and Ted?
As a kid, the TX was the best part You know for reasons😉
21:24 I want a Lord of the Rings episode now.
I got burned out on NC videos lately but came back randomly for this one. Finally got some solid laughs! from the turtles line and the blood reaction finally found myself laughing at these videos again. Good job on this one doug. Ill make sure to check out the next one
His face...😆 0:22
WHY?!?!
T2: "There's no fate but what we make." T3: "Judgment Day is inevitable."
T2 also: It's in your nature to destroy yourselves.
You didn’t have to give me that quality Express VPN Commercial but you did and I’m happier now because of it
It’s honestly an ok movie. It gets more hate than it deserves. And that jacket in this one is sick. I actually managed to get one of the official reproductions they made way back when. Looks as cool irl.
1:39 maybe thats why thid film is so bad
9:10 Missed opportunity for Arnold's "I am getting the feeling of cumming" soundbite from Pumping Iron Still love the videos keep up the awesome work
I enjoyed it, despite what wrong with it!
I don't care what anyone says, this is the BEST Terminator movie. Much more believable terminator design compared to #2. Solid acting all around. Great use of humor with Arnie. Likable/relatable characters. Superb action sequences - especially the kick-butt battle between the T's. And a theme that rings true: the human race will always seek after AI, even if the quest has setbacks. T2 is way overrated. So, ha!
After taking some time to think about the whole “Judgement Day is inevitable” thing I think it can be interpreted in another way, one that ties the entire franchise together. If we were to watch the entire series we can see that yes the future can be changed and it many different ways from dates in timeto people’s role in creating skynet to skynet itself taking different forms. What I think the Terminator could be saying is that it’s not blowing up a building or assassinating someone that will change the future, but human nature itself that needs to change. In T2 as you pointed out the terminator says it’s in humans nature to destroy themselves. In dark fate he states an 80% chance that the world will fall into barbarism even without an AI launching nukes against us. The only way to actually stop judgement day is for humans to make peace with each other for all time. However this is a very unlikely scenario and thus by his calculations the terminator concludes that judgment day is simply inevitable no matter how many times skynet gets blown up before it can exists. The date can change but the outcome is always the same.
That Who Framed Roger Rabbit reference got me 🤣
Just give it 20 years, mate, the rosy glow from this film will keep you and your objectively fine contributors in likes and subscriptions until then. Personally I blame the parent. Mr Cameron totally destroyed the idea of Alien by turning a stand alone B movie with A list talent into a chestbursting gun toting sclhock franchise. Mr Scott doesn't seem to understand the vein he tapped either (Prometheus, Covenant) but welll done, Mr Cameron. Haven't seen a second of Avatar. Never want to and Titanic is shit and I had to sit through it twice.
The film didn't have a great director.
Hopefully after Dark Fate they will redeem the franchise.Dark Fate pleased many fans.AND THE FOURTH ONE WILL PROOF THAT THEY CAN DO WHATEVER THEY WANT WITH THE FRANCHISE.
I really enjoyed all the terminator movies especially the latest one
Doug Looks Like A Rocketmaaaaan Like A Rocketman. Was that a reference in the movie,Doug?
Well..Kristanna Loken is pretty hot as the TX ..had a crush on her 🏳️🌈 Thats why i like this stupid movie ^^
10:00 "Eddy, we got us a ride. OPEN THE DOOOR."
One of the thing I didn't like in the movie was how balls-less John Connor is. I imagined the John Connor from Terminator 2 to grow up to become like a paramilitary nutcase, who wouldn't whine through the movie, "We STOPPED judgement day....!!". I'd expect the son of Sarah Connor to be more badass than that! And he wouldn't run away from his problem, he would face them head-on! Just like his mama!
Fair review, but T3 was pathetic waste, not even worth watching on a slow weekend. that one end dialogue by Stahl had me loling the whole time: 'home computers' became online Skynet threats...." LOL
5:25 I think the reason this kill wasn't shown was to keep the charade going. The audience at this point doesn't know that Robert Patrick is the baddie, so they might assume he's just knocking the cop unconscious out of necessity and as a positive side effect he got that neat disguise that opens all the doors. We can't see him as the killer yet because then the twist in the hallway scene with the *sigh* guns and roses loses its impact.
I remember how hyped we were in Austria to see that Arnold was buying Manner Schnitten at the store
Hold on the second... if you can't change the past, why the hell does skynet keep wasting resources in sending killer robots to the aforementioned past?
T3 is defs the best "new" terminator movie, it was goofy but it had the only skynet concept that actually made sense and was creative. A super intelligent virus... that could be a very cool concept to explore.
I think that if they absoulutley had to make a third film they should have switched things up and had John become the potential cause of the armegedon by becoming an engineer working on AI and robotics, I would really love to see a fansription based on the concept but doubt this will get seen at this point but felt it was still worth it to put my idea out there.
I remember seeing this movie in theaters when I was 13 and thinking it was a cool movie, but super disappointed in the lack of any of the dark and "gritty" aspects that the first one got so right...then came the fiery, agonizing deaths of millions upon millions of people as a nuclear apocalypse rains down across the globe and the realization dawns that it's utterly hopeless to even attempt to avoid the nightmare reality of widespread suffering and death humanity is destined to repeat on a loop for eternity...Kinda redeemed it.
This may not be the worst Terminator sequel but it did one thing to me: it made me so angry with franchise that I never watched anymore sequels after it.
This R rated Terminator movie looks just like R rated movies today.
@Spencer Geller Oh and you wanna know what the worst part, when ever you see a trailer for movie. that looks like it's gonna be a hard R rated film, boom wouldn't you know it's PG-13, WAH WAH WAH WAH.
@twistedyogert Oh and you wanna know what the worst part, when ever you see a trailer for movie. that looks like it's gonna be a hard R rated film, boom wouldn't you know it's PG-13, WAH WAH WAH WAH.
@Spencer Geller Exactly.
@aslan pedersen That's because Quentin Tarantino's "R's" mean R!
@twistedyogert I know right, you see R rated movies today, there not as violent and gory as the were before and as they should be, I remember when I saw the movie Crimson Peak, that movie with Tom Hiddleston, people were saying that it was gonna be violent and scary, but I thought the violence was gonna be like Kill Bill, Hostel, Saw violence, but it wasn't, it was weak ass I cut myself kinda violence. But I will say this, the only time I ever got any satisfaction with the movies that I've scene at the theater that met my expectations with it's violence, was when I saw Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
